Tweet for Chuck
The political action came in the form of donations, volunteer GOTV efforts, and last but certainly not least… votes. This is an area that, until now, the center-right movement has struggled with. But that’s all changing thanks to a new, energetic, talented and highly motivated group of eActivists who are ready to take it to a new level. The latest advancement in online activism on the right comes to us in the form of Tweet for Chuck. The Tweet for Chuck campaign is a product of the brilliant mind of Justin Hart, and was created to help Chuck DeVore take his online donations to a viral realm via Twitter. The feature allows Twitter users to donate to Chuck DeVore and get credit on the Twitter for Chuck page. Users can also refer followers to the page and receive referral credit for the donation. Not only is the Chuck DeVore campaign diving in to social media head first, he’s also a huge #dontgo supporter in that he has always been one of the biggest supporters of offshore drilling in the country. So, essentially we have a candidate for California Senate who is embracing new media, supports free-markets and offshore drilling, and is taking on Barbera Boxer… one of the most liberal members of the Senate. Sounds to me like this is a guy we can get excited about. If you can afford a $10 or more donation, head on over to Tweet for Chuck and plug in your Twitter account. Oh… and be sure to tell them that @ericjodom sent you! -Eric Odom Filed in Social Media Platoon, Twitter :: Written by Eric Odom |

Just weeks ago the liberal side of the online political isle had claimed itself king of the internet. The Barack Obama campaign took some of the most brilliant developers the web has seen, and it created a social network unlike any other. Not only did the Obama campaign create a powerful social network, it worked with this network to translate online political success to offline political action.
